Dusk Stalls is an original acrylic painting and the third piece created in the market series, sitting between Morning Stalls and Night Stalls. It captures the brief in-between hour when day hasn’t fully let go and night hasn’t yet arrived. Lanterns begin to glow, colors deepen, and the market settles into a quieter, more intimate rhythm.
This piece was inspired by wandering without a plan and stumbling upon a small stall at dusk, where I tried the biggest cold, raw oyster I had ever seen — briny, fresh, and unforgettable. It was one of those moments where travel feels less about where you’re going and more about where you pause.
Dusk Stalls holds the transition — a moment of stillness, warmth, and presence, reminding us that some of the most meaningful experiences happen in passing.
